Cloning Records Management Users
Administrative Functionality > Managing Users > Cloning Records Management Users

Cloning enables you to copy a selected user’s profile.  This saves data entry time when you create multiple users with similar profiles. The instructions in this help topic are for cloning Iron Mountain Connect Records Management users.

NOTE: You are able to clone a single user at a time; cloning functionality is not available if you have more than one user checkbox selected.
  1. Click Manage Users from the My Quick Links section on the Iron Mountain Connect home page. The User Management screen opens.
  2. Select the user you wish to clone. You are able to clone a new user immediately after creation, or search for existing users to clone.
  3. Click Clone User.
  4. You have the option to clone shipping addresses associated with the user:
  1. Click Confirm. All permissions and organizational access settings are automatically copied to the cloned user.  Shipping addresses are copied if you selected Yes above.
  2. The User Profile screen appears with the address fields, settings and account information copied.  The following personal and contact information is unique to each user and, therefore, is NOT copied:
    • Salutation
    • First Name
    • Middle Initial
    • Last Name
    • Post Name
    • Title
    • Email
    • Phone Number/Extension
    • Fax
    • Username
  3. Complete all required fields. If necessary, you are able to change information that was cloned.
  1. Click Save. The user profile is cloned.

NOTE:  Iron Mountain Connect Records Management users are cloned with all permissions and organizational access intact UNLESS you change the user's Iron Mountain Connect role.  Changing the role creates a new user for whom you must grant permissions and organizational access.

Shipping addresses are not cloned with the user profile.  You must assign shipping addresses to each user that you clone.  Refer to Assigning Shipping Addresses During User Creation or Adding Users to a Shipping Address.
